Here goes...the planning continues
Good morning...today is a new day, another day to rejoice and praise God, for this is the day that He has made! Tanner and I are sitting in a small motel in the middle of "knowwheresville" Texas...Gaston started working for a friend from church about a month ago and has to be away from home 6 days a week...we only get to see him Saturday nights and then spend the day Sunday! We decided to drive out last night and spend the weekend with him. My 40th birthday is Sunday...I know so old right?, so couldn't imagine not being with my hubby to celebrate! Knox City is the place to be to get your "party on"...just kidding...there is nothing here! not even a wal-mart! I thought all towns in Texas at least had a Wal-Mart...oh well, looks like Tanner and I will...um...no sure what we will do...maybe just hang out while daddy is working!! When your turning 40...a little rest is probably the thing to do..being here with Gaston is great for us, even if we only get to see him for dinner...this has definitely been a stretch for us as most of you know we are always together! Speaking of home...we rented out our house in Brock and moved to Weatherford. A friend of ours offered her rent house, rent free while we try to raise our financial support for the move to Haiti! It's been kind of crazy, but God is Good and in total control! So now that we are moved out and ready to go, we just need to raise up our financial support...so get to praying, because we need it! We started what Gaston calls a "BUY A BLOCK" fundraiser. Our home in Haiti will be built out of cinder block and concrete. Gaston will be actually making each block with a machine and building our home. Tanner and I will help of course! The fundraiser goes like this...a "lego"block can be purchased for $25.00 , that lego, with your name on it, goes to Haiti and is put into the concrete grout inside the cell holes of the block...we thought it would be great to be literally surrounded by the names of those who have come along side us in this amazing journey! We need to sell 1000 block, so if you have not gotten yours, please do and then sell them to everyone you know!! With $25,000. we can build our home! Woo hoo!! I will be adding a pay pal to the blog so that you can buy your lego right here on our blog! Technology is crazy huh? Time to go for now...love always, The Bachelier's

First picture in Haiti...
a young, boy shoeless, hungry and alone sitting at whats left of a building...
the bus
a long wait for the drivers...this is the orphanage bus...sometimes works, sometimes doesn't
a new way of life...
an area where all was destroyed and these are their new homes...
boys...boys...boys
Wish I could be a mommy to all of them! My heart breaks, that they don't have the love of a mother!
